Farben können als prädikative Adjektive (nach sein) oder attributiv (vor dem Nomen) verwendet werden.

Nach sein (prädikativ) — keine Endung: Das Auto ist rot.
Vor dem Nomen (attributiv) — mit Endung: das rote Auto, ein rotes Auto.
Sonderfälle: Rosa, lila, orange bekommen in der Umgangssprache oft keine Endung vor dem Nomen: ein lila Kleid (statt lilanes).

Wrong adjective declension ending
Check: which article type? Which case? Which gender? Then apply the correct ending table
Incorrect comparative or superlative form
Regular: -er (comparative), am -sten (superlative). Watch for umlauts: alt→älter, groß→größer
Added ending to predicate adjective
Predicate adjectives (after sein/werden) have NO ending: Das Haus ist groß (not großes)
Die Blumen sind gelb.
The flowers are yellow.
Predicative use (after sein) — no ending on gelb.
Ich kaufe das blaue T-Shirt.
I am buying the blue t-shirt.
After das (definite neuter): adjective takes -e ending.
Sie trägt einen schwarzen Mantel.
She is wearing a black coat.
Accusative masculine after einen: adjective takes -en ending.
