Ich gehe immer zu Fuß zur Arbeit.
I always walk to work.
Manchmal regnet es den ganzen Tag.
Sometimes it rains all day.
Er trinkt selten Alkohol.
He rarely drinks alcohol.

Position im Satz: Nach dem konjugierten Verb oder an Position 1 mit Inversion:

Nie als Verneinung: Ich gehe nie ins Fitnessstudio. (= I never go to the gym)
Common Error Patterns
Adverb placed in wrong sentence position
Time-Manner-Place order. Time adverbs often at position 1 or in the Mittelfeld
Mixed up frequency adverbs (immer/oft/manchmal/selten/nie)
Practice the frequency scale: immer > oft > manchmal > selten > nie
Wrong temporal adverb or expression
Review temporal adverbs: gestern/heute/morgen, vorher/nachher, zuerst/dann/danach/schließlich
Ich gehe immer zu Fuß zur Arbeit.
I always walk to work.
Immer (always) goes after the verb in the standard position.
Manchmal regnet es den ganzen Tag.
Sometimes it rains all day.
Manchmal at position 1 causes inversion: regnet es.
Er trinkt selten Alkohol.
He rarely drinks alcohol.
Selten (rarely) goes after the verb: trinkt selten.
