Module 11 goals: figures said out loud
What you will be able to do once a price, a date and a time stop being things you have to write down.
Sofi:
By the end of this module
I can handle the numbers of a real week in Spain: a rent, a bill, an appointment, a train, and a party where nobody counted the guests.
Say the hundreds and thousands aloud, including the three that break the pattern - quinientos, setecientos, novecientos - and put y only between tens and units.
State a price the way a Spaniard does, with the cents joined by con: veintiocho con cincuenta, IVA incluido.
Read the paperwork of a flat: alquiler, fianza, comunidad, mensualidad, and know which of them go on top of the rent.
Say and read a date the Spanish way - no ordinals except el uno or el primero - and read a century off a Roman numeral: el siglo XVIII.
Take a time off a timetable in the twenty-four-hour clock and turn it into what you would say to a friend: las diecinueve treinta becomes las siete y media.
Be vague on purpose when I do not know the figure: unas doscientas personas, alrededor de veinte, doscientas y pico, sobre las once, casi hasta las cuatro.
