Look at these examples. Can you spot the grammar pattern?
ʆমি বাংলাদেশ থেকে এসেছি।
I have come from Bangladesh.
আপনি কি চা খাবেন?
Will you have tea? (formal)
তিনি ʆমার শিক্ষক।
He/She is my teacher.
Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
তিনটি সম্মান স্তর:

তুই=intimate, তুমি=familiar, আপনি=formal। ক্রিয়ার রূপ সর্বনাম অনুযায়ী বদলায়।
Common Error Patterns
Wrong formality level
তুই=intimate, তুমি=familiar, ʆপনি=formal
ʆমি বাংলাদেশ থেকে এসেছি।
I have come from Bangladesh.
ʆমি (I) — no gender distinction.
আপনি কি চা খাবেন?
Will you have tea? (formal)
ʆপনি = formal 'you' with -বেন.
তিনি ʆমার শিক্ষক।
He/She is my teacher.
তিনি = honorific 3rd person.
