Module 1 Learning Goals

After this module, you can...

• Recognize and pronounce the Italian alphabet — including the special sounds gn, gl, ch, sc
• Greet people formally and informally (Buongiorno, Ciao, Arrivederci)
• Introduce yourself and ask someone's name (Mi chiamo…, Come ti chiami?)
• Use subject pronouns (io, tu, lui, lei, noi, voi, loro)
• Conjugate the verb essere (to be) in the present tense
• Count from 0 to 20
• Give basic personal information (name, nationality, age)
