What you will be able to do once the marker, not your instinct, chooses the past tense.
Sofi:
By the end of this module
I can tell somebody what has happened today, what I have and have not done yet, and how long I have been doing something, without stopping to work out which past to use.
Build the pretérito perfecto with haber plus a participle, and keep the two words welded together with nothing in between.
Read the marker instead of guessing: hoy, esta semana, este año, alguna vez, nunca and últimamente on one side, ayer, anoche, el año pasado and el otro día on the other.
Produce the ten irregular participles that actually come up: visto, hecho, dicho, escrito, abierto, roto, puesto, vuelto, devuelto, descubierto.
Place ya, todavía no and ya no correctly, and hear the difference between se ha roto and está roto.
Answer ¿cuánto tiempo? four ways: llevo dos años aquí, vivo aquí desde hace dos años, desde 2023, me mudé hace dos años.
Use llevar with a gerund and with sin: llevo veinte minutos esperando, llevo dos días sin dormir.
Ask the same questions back: ¿has comido?, ¿cuánto llevas aquí?, ¿has estado alguna vez en...?
