What you will be able to do once the thing, and not you, is the subject of the sentence.

I can say what I like, what I fancy, what hurts and what gets on my nerves, put a size on all of it, and take part in a conversation where a group is trying to agree on a plan.
Build sentences where the thing is the subject: me encanta el arroz, me duelen las rodillas, nos molesta el ruido.
Add a mí, a Néstor, a nosotros when I need contrast or emphasis, and leave them out when I do not.
Keep apart the pairs that differ by one pronoun: voy and me voy, quedo and me quedo, duermo and me duermo, pongo and me pongo.
Grade anything correctly: muy before an adjective, mucho with a noun or a verb, and muchísimo, demasiado, bastante, poco where each belongs.
Build an adverb in -mente and know when a Spaniard would say despacio, con cuidado or suelo + infinitive instead.
React out loud: accept with me apunto, hedge with la verdad es que, and say no with no me acaba de convencer rather than a bare no.
