へ — Direction

へ (pronounced e as a particle) indicates the direction of movement. Often interchangeable with に for destination.

に (destination/goal)へ (direction)
学校行きます。(go to school — arrival)学校行きます。(head toward school — direction)

Nuance: に emphasizes arrival at the destination; へ emphasizes the direction. In practice, they're often interchangeable at A1.

Pronouncing へ as 'he' instead of 'e' when used as a particle; Using へ for location of existence (に only)

日本へ行きたいです。

I want to go to Japan.

日本(にほん, Japan) + へ(direction) + 行きたい(いきたい, want to go) + です
