grande (old/great)mayor (older)Mi hermano es mayor que yo.

Using más with irregular comparatives (*más mejor → mejor). Also confusing mayor/menor (age) with más grande/más pequeño (size).

Madrid es más grande que Sevilla.

Madrid is bigger than Seville.

más + adjective + que = more ... than. The adjective still agrees: 'grande' (doesn't change for gender here).

Este restaurante es mejor que aquel.

This restaurant is better than that one.

Irregular: bueno → mejor (not *más bueno). Don't combine más with irregular comparatives!

Ana es tan inteligente como Pedro.

Ana is as intelligent as Pedro.

tan + adjective + como = as ... as (equality). The adjective agrees with the subject (Ana = feminine → inteligente is invariable).
