Das Kleingedruckte des Artikelsystems: Institution als Funktion → Null: go to school/prison/hospital (GB) × the school als Gebäude; Geographie: Flüsse, Gebirge, Plural-Staaten mit the (the Thames, the Alps, the UK, the Netherlands — anders als „die Niederlande" intuitiv passt!), einzelne Berge und Seen ohne (Mount Everest, Lake Garda); the + Adjektiv = Gruppe: the rich, the British; Amt nach Wahl ohne Artikel: She was elected president.
