Gli avverbi modificano verbi, aggettivi o altri avverbi. In italiano non cambiano mai forma (sono invariabili).

Avverbi di frequenza (di solito dopo il verbo):

ItalianoIngleseEsempio
semprealwaysMangio sempre a casa.
spessooftenVado spesso al cinema.
qualche volta / a voltesometimesA volte leggo un libro.
raramenterarelyMangio raramente pesce.
mainever (with non)Non bevo mai birra.

Avverbi di luogo: qui/qua (here), lì/là (there), vicino (nearby), lontano (far).

Avverbi di modo/quantità: molto (very/a lot), poco (a little), bene (well), male (badly), troppo (too much), abbastanza (enough).

Attenzione: Molto e poco come avverbi sono invariabili: è molto bello. Come aggettivi concordano: molti libri, poca acqua.

Molto/poco as adverbs don't change (è molto bella), but as adjectives they agree (molti libri, molta acqua). Also, mai requires non before the verb. 🇬🇧 English speakers: Adverb position is similar. The molto/poco dual nature (adverb=invariable, adjective=variable) is confusing.

Häufige Fehlermuster

Making molto/poco agree when used as adverbs

Molto/poco as ADVERBS (modifying adj/verb) are invariable: molto bella, poco interessante. As ADJECTIVES (before noun): molti libri, poca acqua.

Placing frequency adverb before the verb instead of after

Frequency adverbs go after the verb: mangio sempre, vado spesso. Exception: a volte/qualche volta can go at the beginning.

Mangio sempre a casa.

I always eat at home.

Häufigkeitsadverbien stehen meist nach dem Verb.

Lei è molto bella.

She is very beautiful.

Molto als Adverb = unveränderlich (sehr). Als Adjektiv = stimmt überein (viel/e).

Il ristorante è qui vicino.

The restaurant is nearby.

Ortsadverbien: qui/qua (hier), lì/là (dort), vicino (nahe), lontano (fern).
