Alfabeti shqip ka 36 shkronja: 7 zanore dhe 29 bashkëtingëllore. Ai bazohet në alfabetin latin me disa shkronja të veçanta.

Ç sounds like English 'ch' in 'church'. Note the definite article suffix -i on çaj → çaji.
