Hide
After this module, you can...
- Recognize Arabic letters ا-خ in all 4 positions -- You'll know how alif through khaa look at the beginning, middle, end, and standing alone in a word.
- Recognize Arabic letters د-ض in all positions -- From daal through daad, you'll identify each letter's connected and isolated forms.
- Read short vowels (harakat) on Arabic letters -- You'll read fatḥa (َ), ḍamma (ُ), and kasra (ِ) to know exactly how each consonant is pronounced.
- Greet people: السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُم، مَرْحَباً، أَهْلاً -- You can use formal and informal Arabic greetings in everyday situations.
- Introduce yourself: أَنا [name]، اسْمي [name] -- You'll say your name and ask others for theirs.
- Form simple nominal sentences: هٰذا/هٰذِهِ + noun -- You can point to things and say "This is a book," "This is a school," etc.
