Formar el plural en español es bastante regular. Hay tres reglas principales:

Terminación singularReglaSingular → Plural
Vocal (a, e, i, o, u)Añadir -scasa → casas, libro → libros
ConsonanteAñadir -esciudad → ciudades, profesor → profesores
-zCambiar a -ceslápiz → lápices, vez → veces

Practice Exercises
Forgetting the z→c change (lápiz → *lápizes instead of lápices). Also forgetting that days of the week don't change in plural (el lunes → los lunes). 🇬🇧 English speakers: English just adds -s, so the -es and -ces rules are new. May also forget accent changes in plurals.

Las casas son grandes.

The houses are big.

casa → casas: vowel ending, just add -s. The article also changes: la → las.

Los lápices están en la mesa.

The pencils are on the table.

lápiz → lápices: -z changes to -ces. The accent on 'lá' disappears because the word gains a syllable.

Los lunes no trabajo.

On Mondays I don't work.

Days of the week ending in -s don't change: el lunes → los lunes. Only the article changes.
