Comparisons with as...as
Equality and its denial: as tall as, not as/so big as; twice as much as; as soon/long/far as possible
I can state equality, deny it and multiply it with the as...as frame.
Look at these examples. Can you spot the grammar pattern?
The home-made pizza was as good as the restaurant one - and twice as big.

Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
The equality frame:

Inside the frame the adjective stays base - no -er: *as taller as is impossible. Pronouns after the second as: formal as I, normal as me.
- *as taller as → as tall as: base form inside
- like instead of the second as: *as tall like → as tall as
