Confusing word order with 'hace' (*Tres meses hace → Hace tres meses). Also forgetting 'pasado/a' agrees with the noun. 🇬🇧 English speakers: 'Ago' goes AFTER the time ('3 months ago'). Spanish 'hace' goes BEFORE ('Hace 3 meses'). Opposite order.

Llegué hace dos horas.

I arrived two hours ago.

Hace + time = ago. Hace goes BEFORE the time period (opposite of English 'ago').

La semana pasada fui a Barcelona.

Last week I went to Barcelona.

La semana pasada = last week. 'Pasada' agrees with 'semana' (feminine).

Ayer por la mañana tuve una reunión.

Yesterday morning I had a meeting.

Ayer + por la mañana/tarde/noche = yesterday morning/afternoon/evening.
