Personal Pronouns

Chinese pronouns never change form. Add 们 for plural. 他/她/它 all sound 'tā'. 您 is formal 'you'.

All 3rd-person pronouns sound 'tā'. Pronouns never change case form.

我爱你。

I love you.

我爱你 — 我 is both 'I' (subject) and 'me' (object). No case change!

我们是朋友。

We are friends.

我们是朋友 — add 们 to make any pronoun plural: 我→我们, 你→你们, 他→他们.

您好!

How are you? (formal)

您好! — 您 nín is the polite form of 你, used with elders, superiors, strangers.
