Composição: 21 = vinte e um, 35 = trinta e cinco. Sempre com e entre dezenas e unidades.

Practice Exercises
Forgetting gender: duas mulheres (not dois). Using 'cento' alone (it's cem for 100, cento only in 101-199). 🇬🇧 English speakers: Numbers don't change for gender in English. 'Um café' but 'uma cerveja' — must match the noun.

Eu tenho vinte e três anos.

I am twenty-three years old.

Vinte e três — always 'e' between tens and units. 'Ter X anos' = to be X years old (literally 'to have X years').

Duas cervejas, por favor.

Two beers, please.

Duas (feminine) because cerveja is feminine. Dois for masculine: dois cafés.

São cem reais.

It's a hundred reais.

Cem = exactly 100. But: cento e vinte reais (120) — use 'cento' for 101-199.
