Module 4: four ways of saying can
- I can say what I know how to do, as a learned skill.
- I can say I did not manage something on a particular occasion.
- I can ask permission, grant it with a condition, and refuse gently.
- I can say how something feels to me, and that something slipped away from me.
Russian has four matching verbs, which makes this module one of the easier ones -
provided you build from мне даётся rather than from я умею.
