Melléknevek fokozása
Comparative: add -bb (with linking vowel if needed): nagy → nagyobb, szép → szebb.
Superlative: add leg-...-bb: legnagyobb, legszebb.
Use mint (than) for comparisons: Nagyobb, mint a házad (Bigger than your house).
Common Error Patterns
Omitting linking vowel before -bb when the adjective ends in a consonant cluster (e.g., 'nagybb' instead of 'nagyobb').
Using both 'leg-' prefix and 'legjobb' style correctly but forgetting '-bb' ending on base adjective.
Ez a film jobb, mint a másik.
This film is better than the other one.
'Jobb' is the comparative of 'jó' (good). 'Mint' = than. Irregular: jó → jobb.
Ez a legdrágább étterem a városban.
This is the most expensive restaurant in the city.
'Legdrágább' = leg- + drága (expensive) + -bb. The superlative is formed with 'leg-' prefix.
Ő idősebb nálam.
He/she is older than me.
'Idősebb' = idős (old) + -ebb. 'Nálam' = at me / than me (uses -nál suffix on pronoun).
