Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
onnu, raṇṭu, mūnnu, nālu, añcu, āṟu, ēḻu, eṭṭu, onpatu, pattu. Numbers are invariable, and the counted noun stays singular: raṇṭu chāya (two tea). Note ഏഴ് (ēḻu - seven) uses the famous retroflex ḻ.
