July 15th (lit. 7th month's 15th).
Гурван цаг болж байна.

Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
Өдөр, сар, цаг
Гаригууд: Даваа, Мягмар, Лхагва, Пүрэв, Баасан, Бямба, Ням.
Сарууд: 1-р сар … 12-р сар (ordinal + сар).
Цаг: Хэдэн цаг болж байна? — [тоо] цаг болж байна.
Common Error Patterns
Missing genitive -ын/-ийн/-н on month when giving dates (e.g., *долоон сар арван тав).
Wrong formula for telling time (e.g., *Гурван цаг байна instead of Гурван цаг болж байна).
Өнөөдөр Даваа гараг.
Today is Monday.
Days of the week come from Tibetan Buddhist terms. No verb needed for 'is'.
Долоон сарын арван тав.
July 15th (lit. 7th month's 15th).
Dates use genitive: [month ordinal]-р сарын [day number].
Гурван цаг болж байна.
It is three o'clock.
[Number] цаг болж байна = telling the time. болж байна = 'is becoming/is'.
