I'm home because I'm sick.
Өвчтэй тул гэртээ байна.
Because (I am) sick, I stay home.
Цаг байхгүй, учир нь маш завгүй.
There's no time because (I'm) very busy.
Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
Шалтгааныг илэрхийлэх хоёр арга: учир нь (because, after the clause) болон тул/-тул/-тгал (therefore/because, suffix or postposition).
Загвар: [Үр дагавар], учир нь [шалтгаан]. Эсвэл: [Шалтгаан]-тул, [үр дагавар].

Учир нь follows the result clause and introduces the reason.
Өвчтэй тул гэртээ байна.

Тул follows the reason clause (SOV-like cause-effect order).
Цаг байхгүй, учир нь маш завгүй.
There's no time because (I'm) very busy.
Учир нь works with any subject; завгүй = busy (lit. without-free-time).
