Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?

Тушаал хэлбэр (Imperative)

Informal: bare verb stem — Ир! (Come!), Яв! (Go!), Уншь! (Read!)

Polite: stem + -аарай/-ээрэй/-оорой/-өөрэй — Ирээрэй! (Please come!)

Common Error Patterns

Using bare stem imperative in formal/polite situations (should use -аарай/-ээрэй).

Wrong vowel harmony in polite imperative (e.g., *Ираарай instead of Ирээрэй).

Ир! Суу!

Come! Sit!

Bare stem = blunt/informal imperative. Used with close friends or children.

Ирээрэй, найзаа.

Please come, my friend.

-ээрэй = polite imperative (front vowel ир). найзаа = vocative 'my friend'.

Уншаарай, гуйя.

Please read, I ask.

-аарай = polite imperative (back vowel унш). гуйя = 'I ask/please'.
