Svenska verb delas in i fyra grupper baserat på presensändelsen:
| Grupp | Infinitiv | Presens | Exempel |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | -a | -ar | tala → talar |
| 2 | -a | -er | läsa → läser |
| 3 | -∅ (kort) | -r | bo → bor |
| 4 | oregelbundna | varierar | vara → är, ha → har |
Fantastiskt: Alla personer har samma form! Jag talar, du talar, hon talar, vi talar...
Grupp 1 (mest vanliga): tala (talk), arbeta (work), handla (shop), laga (cook), resa (travel)
Grupp 2: läsa (read), köpa (buy), ringa (call), stänga (close)
Grupp 3: bo (live), tro (believe), sy (sew)
Swedish verbs are EASY — same form for all persons! Main challenge: knowing which group.
🇬🇧 English: No person endings at all in Swedish (like English but even simpler — no 3rd person -s).
