Tanışma:

Turkish has TWO goodbyes: hoşça kal (said by the leaver) and güle güle (said by the stayer). Most languages have one. 🇬🇧 English speakers: English 'goodbye' covers both. Must learn the distinction.

Common Error Patterns

Used hoşça kal when staying or güle güle when leaving

Leaver says hoşça kal; stayer says güle güle

Merhaba! Benim adım Ayşe. Memnun oldum.

My name is Ayşe.
