| Cuantificador | Con sustantivo | Con verbo o adjetivo |
|---|---|---|
| demasiado | Hay demasiada gente. | Comes demasiado. / Es demasiado caro. |
| bastante | Tengo bastantes libros. | Trabaja bastante. / Es bastante simpático. |
| poco | Queda poca leche. | Duerme poco. / Es poco frecuente. |
| todo | Toda la tarde, todos los días. | — |
Un matiz español: bastante no siempre significa «suficiente». En España, «El piso está bastante bien» quiere decir «está bien, mejor de lo que esperaba», no «está lo justo».

Bài tập thực hànhHay mucha gente en la plaza y hace muchísimo calor.
There are a lot of people in the square and it's terribly hot.
Both nouns, so mucho agrees: mucha gente. Heat is a noun in Spanish (calor), hence muchísimo calor, not *muy caliente.
Hoy está mucho mejor: ayer estaba muy cansado y hoy ya ha salido a andar.
He's much better today: yesterday he was very tired and today he's already been out walking.
'Mucho mejor' with the irregular comparative; 'muy cansado' with an ordinary adjective. The two cannot be swapped.
El menú está bastante bien, aunque para mí lleva demasiada sal.
The set menu is pretty good, though for my taste it's too salty.
'Bastante bien' means genuinely good in Spain, not merely adequate. 'Demasiada' agrees with the feminine noun sal.
