| volver a + inf. |
| empezar a + inf. | inicio | Empecé a estudiar español en enero. |
| dejar de + inf. | final, abandono | Mi padre dejó de fumar hace diez años. |
| soler + inf.

I've just come out of the doctor's and they've changed my appointment again.
Two periphrases in one line: acabar de (present, not past) for the immediate past, volver a for repetition.
As a child I used to spend the summers in my grandparents' village in Teruel.
Solía + infinitive is the most elegant way to describe a childhood habit — more idiomatic than the bare imperfect.
I stopped drinking coffee in the afternoon and I'm still sleeping badly.
dejar de + infinitive marks the end of a habit; seguir + gerund marks something that has not ended.
