Schau dir diese Beispiele an. Kannst du das grammatische Muster erkennen?

Jdu na poštu.

Ich gehe zur Post.

Koupila jsem to pro maminku.

Ich habe es für Mama gekauft.

Zaplatil za to sto korun.

Er hat hundert Kronen dafür bezahlt.

Achte auf die hervorgehobenen Teile. Was haben sie gemeinsam?

Některé předložky vždy vyžadují 4. pád (akuzativ). Nejčastější jsou:

PředložkaVýznamPříklad
nana (směr), pro (účel)Jdu na poštu.
propro (koho/co)To je pro tebe.
přespřes, skrzJdeme přes most.

Learners confuse na + accusative (direction) with na + locative (location), and overgeneralize one case to all preposition uses. 🇩🇪 German speakers: German Wechselpräpositionen (auf + Akk for direction, auf + Dat for location) provide an excellent analogy for Czech na + acc/loc distinction.

Häufige Fehlermuster

Used wrong case after a preposition (e.g., locative instead of accusative with directional na)

Na + acc = direction (kam?): Jdu na poštu. Na + loc = location (kde?): Jsem na poště. Ask kam? or kde? to decide.

Correct preposition but wrong noun/adjective ending for accusative

After accusative prepositions, apply accusative endings: F -u/-i, M anim. = genitive, M inanim./N = nominative.

Jdu na poštu.

Ich gehe zur Post.

Na + accusative indicates direction (kam? = where to?). Compare: Jsem na poště (na + locative = location).

Koupila jsem to pro maminku.

Ich habe es für Mama gekauft.

Pro always takes accusative. Note: maminka → maminku (feminine accusative).

Zaplatil za to sto korun.

Er hat hundert Kronen dafür bezahlt.

Za + accusative expresses price/exchange. Also used for time: za hodinu (in an hour).
