Practice Exercises
Using 'después' without 'de' before infinitives (*después salir → después de salir). 🇬🇧 English speakers: Similar connectors exist. The 'de' before infinitives (después de + inf.) is often forgotten.

Primero estudio, después descanso.

First I study, then I rest.

Primero...después = first...then. Basic sequencing connectors.

Después de comer, voy a pasear.

After eating, I go for a walk.

Después de + infinitive = after doing something. Don't forget 'de'!

Al final, todo salió bien.

In the end, everything turned out well.

Al final = in the end (conclusion of a story). Por último = lastly (final item in a sequence).
