Nota: Vir (come) e ver (see) são facilmente confundidos: vêm (they come) vs veem (they see).

Confusing ver (see) with vir (come) — veem vs vêm. Regularizing irregular forms (fazo* → faço). Confusing saber/conhecer. 🇬🇧 English speakers: English irregular verbs change in past (go/went). Portuguese irregulars change in present too. Must memorize eu forms especially.

Eu faço café toda manhã.

I make coffee every morning.

Fazer → eu faço (irregular eu form with ç). All other forms keep faz-: fazes, faz, fazemos, fazem.

Eu sei falar português.

I know how to speak Portuguese.

Saber → eu sei (very irregular!). Saber = know facts/skills. Conhecer = know people/places.

Eles vêm de Portugal.

They come from Portugal.

Vir (come) → vêm (they come). Compare: ver (see) → veem (they see). Accent makes the difference!
