から・まで — From / Until
から = from (starting point); まで = until/to (ending point). Can be used for both time and place.

| Time range | 9時から5時まで | from 9 to 5 |
| Place range | 東京から大阪まで | from Tokyo to Osaka |
They can be used separately: 9時から働きます。(I work from 9.) / 5時まで勉強します。(I study until 5.)
