I am at my (own) home.
He takes his (own) book.
We clean our (own) house.
Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
Reflexive possessive suffix -аа/-ээ/-оо/-өө: subject-ийн гэрт → гэртээ (at one's OWN home).
(I am at MY home). (He is at HIS OWN home).
Common Error Patterns
Using regular possessive instead of reflexive, losing 'own' meaning
Choosing wrong reflexive vowel (-
I am at my (own) home.
Implies own home.
He takes his (own) book.
Subject owns it.
We clean our (own) house.
Reflexive works for all persons; гэрээ indicates the house belongs to the subject.
