Common Error Patterns

Missing -t ending for neuter nouns

Add -t to adjectives before neuter (et-words): rødt, blått, hvitt

Missing -e ending in plural

All adjectives take -e in plural and definite forms

Jeg har en rød bil og et blått hus.

I have a red car and a blue house.

rød (masc.) vs blått (neuter) — agreement with noun gender

De grønne trærne er vakre.

The green trees are beautiful.

Plural: grønn → grønne; always -e in plural/definite

Hvilken farge er det?

What colour is it?

Asking about colors with 'hvilken farge'
