Nagluto siya ng adobo.
He/she cooked adobo.
Nag-aaral ako ng Tagalog.
I'm studying Tagalog.
Magtratrabaho ako bukas.
I will work tomorrow.

Ang mag- verbs ay isa pang uri ng pandiwa sa Tagalog:

| Perpektibo | nag- + ugat | nagluto |
| Imperpektibo | nag- + ulit + ugat | nagluluto |
| Kontemplatibo | mag- + ulit + ugat | magluluto |
Karaniwang mag- verbs: magluto (cook), maglinis (clean), mag-aral (study), magtrabaho (work).

Nagluto = cooked (completed mag- verb). Ng adobo = adobo (object).

Nag-aaral = studying (uncompleted). Ng Tagalog = Tagalog (object).
Magtratrabaho ako bukas.
I will work tomorrow.
Magtratrabaho = will work (contemplated). Bukas = tomorrow.
