Türkçe SOV (Özne-Nesne-Yüklem) söz dizimine sahiptir. Fiil her zaman sondadır!

Önemli: Söz dizisi esnek olabilir (vurgu değişir), ama fiil genellikle sondadır.
Common Error Patterns
Placed verb before the object or in middle of sentence
Turkish is SOV: verb goes at the END of the sentence
Ali kahve içiyor.
Ali is drinking coffee.
SOV: Ali(S) kahve(O) içiyor(V).
Ben dün sinemaya gittim.
Went to cinema yesterday.
S + time + O + V order.
Bu kitabı çok sevdim.
I liked this book a lot.
O + adverb + V. Subject dropped (pro-drop).
