Türkçe'de iki tür soru vardır:
1. Evet/hayır soruları: Soru edatı mı/mi/mu/mü (4 yönlü ünlü uyumu) odaklanan kelimeden sonra gelir:

2. Soru kelimeli sorular: Ne, kim, nerede, nasıl, kaç, neden — soru kelimesi cümle içinde yerinde kalır:
Bu ne? (What is this?) — Nereye gidiyorsun? (Where are you going?)
Common Error Patterns
Wrong vowel form of question particle
mı (a/ı), mi (e/i), mu (o/u), mü (ö/ü) — follows the last vowel
Türk müsünüz?
Are you Turkish?
mü: question particle with vowel harmony.
Kahve mi çay mı?
Coffee or tea?
mi/mı: different vowel harmony for each!
Bu ne kadar?
How much is this?
ne kadar: how much (shopping essential).
