One ending: -lar. kitob → kitoblar. Singular after numerals: ikki kitob.
I can form plurals with -lar and keep nouns singular after numerals.
Look at these examples. Can you spot the grammar pattern?
Bolalar hovlida o'ynaydi.
The children are playing in the yard.
Ikki kitob sotib oldim.
I bought two books.
Do'stlarim choyxonada.
My friends are at the tea house.
Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
One invariable ending: -lar. kitob → kitoblar (books), bola → bolalar (children), do'st → do'stlar (friends).
After any numeral the noun stays singular: ikki kitob (two book), besh bola (five child). The number already says 'many' - marking it twice would be redundant, and Uzbek hates redundancy.
