We will study Czech every day.

Preste atenção às partes destacadas. O que elas têm em comum?

Čeština má dva způsoby tvoření budoucího času, podle vidu slovesa.

1. Nedokonavá slovesa — budu + infinitiv:

OsobaTvarPříklad
jábudubudu dělat
tybudešbudeš čekat
on/ona/onobudebude pracovat
mybudemebudeme mluvit
vybudetebudete psát
oni/ony/onabudoubudou číst

2. Dokonavá slovesa — přítomný tvar = budoucí význam: udělám (I will do/finish), přečtu (I will read through), napíšu (I will write).

Pozor: Dokonavá slovesa nemají přítomný čas — jejich přítomné tvary vždy znamenají budoucnost!

Exercícios de prática
Learners use budu + perfective verb (*budu udělám) or forget that perfective present forms express future meaning. 🇬🇧 English speakers: English has no aspect distinction, so the two future constructions (budu + impf vs. perfective present) are confusing. Speakers want a single 'will' pattern.

Padrões de erros comuns

Used budu + perfective verb or imperfective present for future meaning

Imperfective → budu + infinitive. Perfective → conjugated present form IS the future. Never combine budu + perfective.

Wrong form of budu auxiliary

Review: budu, budeš, bude, budeme, budete, budou

Zítra budu celý den pracovat.

Tomorrow I will work all day.

Imperfective future: budu + pracovat (ongoing/habitual future action).

Napíšu ti zítra e-mail.

I will write you an email tomorrow.

Perfective present = future: napíšu (will write and complete). No budu needed.

Budeme se učit česky každý den.

We will study Czech every day.

Imperfective (repeated action) → budeme + učit se. The reflexive se follows the auxiliary.
