Genitive case: possession (-n), with postpositions

Genetiivi
Genetiivin pääte on -n. Käyttö:
- Omistus: koiran nimi (the dog's name)
- Postpositioiden kanssa: talon edessä (in front of the house)
- Totaaliobjekti: Luin kirjan. (I read the book — completed)
Huom! Genetiivin vartalo voi erota nominatiivista (astevaihtelu): kirkko → kirkon.

Matti → Matin (genitive -n). Possession: owner in genitive + thing owned.

Koira → koiran (genitive -n). Musti is a common Finnish dog name.

Ich habe das Buch zu Ende gelesen.
Kirja → kirjan (genitive = completed object). Compare: luen kirjaa (partitive = still reading).
