Některé předložky se pojí výhradně s 3. pádem (dativem).
| Předložka | Význam | Příklad |
|---|---|---|
| k / ke | toward, to (person/place) | Jdu k lékaři. |
| díky | thanks to | Díky tobě jsem uspěl. |
| kvůli | because of | Přišel kvůli práci. |
| naproti | opposite, across from | Bydlím naproti škole. |
| navzdory | despite | Navzdory dešti šli ven. |
| vůči | toward (attitude) | Je milý vůči všem. |
(Come to me!)
Common Error Patterns
Used wrong case after a dative preposition (e.g., *k škola instead of k škole)
After k/ke, díky, kvůli, naproti — always use dative. Check the noun's dative form.
Chose wrong preposition (e.g., do instead of k for direction toward a person)
K/ke = toward a person/place (outside). Do = into (inside). Na = onto (surface). Choose based on the spatial relationship.
Jdu k lékaři.
I'm going to the doctor.
K + dative for direction toward a person. Lékař → lékaři (dative).
Díky vám jsem se to naučil.
Thanks to you I learned it.
Díky + dative pronoun (vám). Expresses gratitude or cause.
Škola je naproti nemocnici.
The school is opposite the hospital.
Naproti + dative for location across from something. Nemocnice → nemocnici.
