Prepositions of time: om (clock), op (days), in (months/years/seasons), 's morgens/avonds
Can use time prepositions correctly
Look at these examples. Can you spot the grammar pattern?
Ik sta 's morgens om zeven uur op.
I get up in the morning at seven o'clock.
Op zaterdag gaan wij in de zomer naar het strand.
On Saturday we go to the beach in summer.
Van maandag tot vrijdag werk ik van negen tot vijf.
From Monday to Friday I work from nine to five.

Let op 's: De 's in 's morgens is een oude genitivus. Spreek uit als gewoon: smorgens.

's morgens = in the morning. 'Om' for clock time. Note: 'op' is the separable prefix of 'opstaan'.

'Op' for day, 'in' for season.
Van maandag tot vrijdag werk ik van negen tot vijf.
From Monday to Friday I work from nine to five.
'Van...tot' for periods. Note V2: 'van maandag tot vrijdag' is position 1, 'werk' is position 2.
