Look at these examples. Can you spot the grammar pattern?

Βλέπω τον φίλο μου.

I see my friend.

Αγαπάω τη μουσική.

I love music.

Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?

For direct objects and after prepositions. Feminine and neuter look the same as nominative — only masculine nouns change ending.

English doesn't change nouns for case. In Greek, only masculine nouns change: -ος→-ο, -ής→-ή, -ας→-α. Feminine and neuter stay the same.

Βλέπω τον φίλο μου.

I see my friend.

φίλος → φίλο (acc.), ο → τον (acc. article)

Αγαπάω τη μουσική.

I love music.

η μουσική → τη μουσική — feminine doesn't change ending, only the article.
