Foljet shqipe ndahen në tri konjugime bazuar në formën e vetës së parë:

Folje të zakonshme: punoj (work), flas (speak), lexoj (read), shkruaj (write), ha (eat), pi (drink), shoh/shikoj (see/watch), dëgjoj (listen).
The 2nd and 3rd person singular are often identical — context determines who is doing the action.

Я працюю в Тирані.
Punoj = я працюю (1-ша відміна, закінчення -j). Në = в (прийменник).
Ata lexojnë gazetën çdo mëngjes.
Вони читають газету кожного ранку.
Lexojnë = вони читають (lexoj + -në для 3-ї особи мн.). Gazetën = газету (знахідний відмінок з означеним суфіксом).
Ne flasim shqip dhe anglisht.
Ми розмовляємо албанською та англійською.
Flas (я говорю) → flasim (ми говоримо). Dhe = і.
