| Persona | hablar | tener | hacer |
|---|---|---|---|
| yo | hablaría | tendría | haría |
| tú | hablarías | tendrías | harías |
| él/ella/usted | hablaría | tendría | haría |
| nosotros/as | hablaríamos | tendríamos | haríamos |
| vosotros/as | hablaríais | tendríais | haríais |

The standard polite request at a Spanish bar counter. 'Poder' keeps its future stem: podr-.
If I were you, I wouldn't take the car: there's a taxi strike today and everything will be gridlocked.
'Yo que tú' + conditional is the everyday way to give advice — softer than deberías and much softer than an imperative.
We'd love to come to the wedding, but that weekend we've got my niece's christening.
Encantar behaves like gustar and takes the conditional to soften a refusal — a very Spanish way of saying no.
