Much everyday humour comes from someone speaking अति-शुद्ध हिंदी about something trivial, which is why news-Hindi parody is a stable genre.
Puns rarely survive translation, and a joke that depends on a Sanskritic-Persian pair has no Russian equivalent at all. Recognising why something is funny is a more realistic goal than reproducing it.
