Sloveso + kdo + co udělat: I want her to come (chci, ABY přišla). Tady je hlavní past: české „chci, aby..." táhne říct *I want that she comes - want NIKDY nebere that! Konstrukce je jiná: want + předmět + to-infinitiv. Stejně: ask/tell/invite sb to do (They told us to wait - řekli nám, ať počkáme). Po let/make holý infinitiv: Let him try (ať to zkusí), She made me laugh (rozesmála mě). V pasivu make vrací to: I was made to wait.
