Ne zaman kullanılır? Belirli (bilinen) nesne için: Kitabı okudum (O belirli kitabı). Belirsiz nesne ek almaz: Kitap okudum (Herhangi bir kitap).
| Son ünlü | Ek | Örnek |
|---|---|---|
| a, ı | -ı | araba → arabayı / kız → kızı |
| e, i | -i | ev → evi / gemi → gemiyi |
| o, u | -u | yol → yolu / okul → okulu |
| ö, ü | -ü | göz → gözü / gül → gülü |

Önemli: Ünsüz yumuşamasını unutmayın! kitap → kitabı (p→b).
Common Error Patterns
Omitted accusative suffix on definite direct object
If the object is specific/definite (the book, not a book), add -ı/-i/-u/-ü
Added accusative suffix to indefinite direct object
Indefinite objects (a book, some water) do NOT take accusative suffix

Without suffix: indefinite (a book). With -ı suffix: definite (THE book). Note: kitap → kitabı (p→b).

I saw the child, I saw the dog.
çocuk → çocuğ-u (k→ğ softening + back -u); köpek → köpeğ-i (k→ğ + front -i).
