¿Qué haces los fines de semana?
What do you do on weekends?
Pongo los libros en la estantería.
I put the books on the shelf.
Salgo de casa a las ocho.
I leave the house at eight.

Estos verbos son irregulares solo en la primera persona (yo) — tienen la terminación -go. Las demás formas son regulares.

Otros verbos con yo -go: traer → traigo, caer → caigo, oír → oigo, decir → digo, conocer → conozco (este usa -zco).
Expresiones con hacer: hacer deporte (do sports), hacer la cama (make the bed), ¿Qué haces? (What are you doing?), hace frío/calor (it's cold/hot — weather).

What do you do on weekends?
hacer → tú haces (regular for tú). But yo → hago (irregular). Hacer = to do/make.
Pongo los libros en la estantería.
I put the books on the shelf.
poner → yo pongo (irregular -go). All other forms are regular: pones, pone, ponemos, ponéis, ponen.
Salgo de casa a las ocho.
I leave the house at eight.
salir → yo salgo. Salir de = to leave (from). Note: salir doesn't need 'a', but uses 'de' for 'from'.
