Zabal otázku - rozmotej inverzi: Where is the station? → Could you tell me where the station is? Uvnitř obalu oznamovací slovosled a ŽÁDNÉ do/does/did: Do you know what time it opens? (ne *does it open). Zjišťovací otázky chtějí if/whether: Do you know if the shop is open? - české „nevíte, jestli je otevřeno". Obaly: Could you tell me..., Do you know..., I wonder... Čím delší obal, tím zdvořilejší otázka.
